Linamix® has a very interesting formula:
Linseed: natural source of Omega-3
Each year spring grass ensures herbluores receive Omega-3 in abundance. This helps promote efficient moulting, fertility and a shiny coat.
These Omega-3 unsaturated) y acids are available year round by way of linseed and are well known for their positive effects. They aid intestinal peristalsis, helping to prevent colic, and also have anti-inflammatory properties.
Extruded linseed is the most important ingredient in Linamix. All the anti-nutritional substances of linseed, the main ingredient in Linamix, (linamarin, linustatin, meolinustatin, linatin and especially hydrocyanic acid) are eliminated by the extrusion process (quick cooking at 140° for 30-40 seconds)
The extrusion process also increases the digestibility of the linseed oil. The high nutritional value and natural presence of the Omega-3 fatty acid (linolenic acid) in Linamix allows the horse to perform for prolonged periods. The slow release energy of the fats helps prevent muscular acidification and is a safe energy source for the horse (minimising behaviour problems).
The fat soluble vitamins and fatty acids have a positive effect on liver and hormone function, therefore aiding fertility of stallions and mares alike. The growth, health and general condition of the horse will be visible!
The benefits of Omega-3:
* The slow release energy provided by the fatty acids helps prevent muscle acidification.
* Increased stamina.
* Raised immunity.
* Anti-inflammtory properties.
* Increased fertility
* Shiny coat.
* Cardiovascular support.

fructooligosaccharide (FOS) of ORAFTI (BENEO®)
Inulin consists of fructose chains of differing sizes.
Short chains (FOS) allow the development of good bacteria in the stomach and first parts of the intestine.
Long chains are responsible for the second part of the intestine, i.e., the large intestine.
The successful Linamix formulation is attributable to the combination of both short and long chains of fructose, thus acting throughout the intestinal tract.
The benefits of Inulin:
* Production of volatile fatty acids (VFA) in the gut, which slightly lowers the pH and decreases the number of pathogenic bacteria. These VFA are also a source of energy for the intestinal cells and improve the absorption of nutrients.
* Helps prevent diarrhoea.
* Helps stabilise lactate concentrations in the hindgut.
Chicory fibre: soluble and fermentable fibres
The benefits of chicory:
* The soluble and fermentable fibres of chicory reabsorb the water and improve the intestinal content.
* It supports the peristaltic movement of the gut, helping to prevent colic.
Vitamin E: antioxidant
The advantages of vitamin E:
* Protects body cells against free radicals.
* Aids development, recovery and protection of the muscular system.
Organic Selenium: antioxidant
This form of organic selenium is natural and metabolises more quickly than other selenium. Therefore, there is more selenium available to the horse for specific functions.
The benefits of Organic Selenium:
* Aids immunity and helps prevent illness.
* Helps recovery and helps minimise damage from over exertion. .Improved exchange of selenium between mare and foal.
* Encourages faster expulsion of the placenta.
* Promotes higher selenium content in mare’s milk.
* Enhances selenium content in the foal’s blood after the birth
* for development of healthier blood and tissues.
* Promotes health in stallions, mares and foals.
* The benefits are for the rest of Iiving!
